Freedom Makeup | New Releases Introduction ♥

Recently Freedom Makeup branched out into selected Superdrug stores and online too. Freedom, of course, did it in spectacular style and launched not just a few but 50 new products to join their already impressive makeup line. If you aren't aware already Freedom are the sister brand of Makeup Revolution. Freedom Makeup was launched with makeup artists in mind and they've brought professional makeup at exceptional prices. I was very kindly sent 4 of the newer products to review. I'm yet to trial them but I thought I'd introduce you to the products I got.

Where Do You See Yourself in 10 Years?

I recently watched Alfie Deyes from Pointless Blog's main channel video which asked the question 'Where do you see yourself in 10 years?' and it really got me thinking. Where do I see myself in 10 years? Alfie didn't really know the answer to that and rather than put together some sort of life plan he decided to write down where he hoped he would be. I once wrote a life plan when I was in my early teens and if I ever gave you any tips on writing your own my advice would be don't, they never go to plan and instead take everyday as it comes. I tell you one thing though life's going by far to quickly.

Liverpool's Hidden Gems | With Travelodge

Liverpool is simply one of my favourite Northern cities, not only is it great for shopping but it's also bursting with beautiful architecture and history. Whenever I visit I love to have quite the splurge but more than anything I like to check out the cities history and visit one of the many free museums - you could call these quite the hidden gems but there's plenty around the Liverpool area. I've visited many, it's a good and educational day trip out, and one my two seem to love.

Christmas Gift Guide | Youtuber Special

I would definitely say Youtube is my guilty pleasure. I love nothing more than sitting back and tuning into the likes of Fleur de Force or Zoella and seeing what beauty offerings and makeup tutorials they have. You may think this weird me being 24 years of age but I love seeing just normal, down to earth women be passionate about what they love and achieving so much from that. It's become the norm for these 'Youtube Stars' faces to be plastered on the high street; be that Superdrug, Boots or even online at Feelunique. I'm a fan of their makeup/beauty ranges - and the reason why I asked for a few of their offerings for Christmas, and I sneakily took a few pics to share them with you before I receive them on the big day.

An Unexpected Breakaway ♥

 Hello beautiful people,

I'd like to say thank you to those who have actually stuck with my blog and continued to tune in to it despite the lack of content being made available. It's insane how much of a back step I've actually taken in the last few months despite having numerous posts ready to write in my drafts and a list the length of my arm of posts I can do - so no, readers block is not the issue but my life in general. I've been dealing with various things in my personal life and have therefore not felt in the mood to write on my little space on the internet. I've made promises to get back into the swing of things and I do apologise for breaking them. I'm going to get back into blogging in small doses and hope it builds back to a great amount of posts in the new year. You are a great bunch so I know you'll understand. Please bear with me and I'll be back sooner rather than later!

On another note; How good is Justin Bieber's new album - above is my favourite song from his album.

Much love,
Kate xx

Get Winter Boot Ready With Brantano | Wishlist

Having recently learned that Autumn is in fact my favourite season and also finding clothing definitely plays a huge part in that (especially footwear) I've become even more so obsessed with the old boot. Not going to lie and say boots aren't my statement fashion piece because they certainly are and I wear them in Spring and Summer, too, and they certainly give a dress some edge. I've teamed up with Brantano to create a wondeful shoelicious wishlist and give you some much needed inspiration before Winter sets in.

My First Experience With Wagamama

Happy Halloween everyone. I hope you have the more amazing scarefest!

I'm still struggling to come to terms with the fact Wagamama's been around since 1992 and I've only heard of the place in the last year or so. Wagamama only came to my attention after watching Youtube and seeing the likes of Zoe Sugg and Alfie Deyes regularly ordering from there. Wagamama is a Japanese eatery and a blooming good one at that. I've never actually eaten Japanese food and now all I keep thinking about is how I want to go back and try more of their menu.

Imperial Leather Classic & Sweets Range - Review ♥

It seems like only recently the world of blogging and my Instagram feed's been blowing up with the mention/photo's of Imperial Leather products with what seems to be their new offering of retro candy scented shower gels and creams catching the attention of a whole bunch of people, truth be told these have in fact been around since the beginning of the year. Imperial Leathers have never been my first choice when it came to toiletries but I'll always remember my Grandparents having a bar of their soap and numerous products in their bathroom and when they passed away I didn't see much of the brand again until now.

The Last Witch Hunter Premiere & Review

Wow!! This week has been an absolute whirlwind, Monday in-particular. Me and my partner attended The Last Witch Hunter premiere thanks to a win on Facebook with Entertainment One. It started off quite the nightmare actually because I won tickets on Thursday 15th and was notified via Facebook, unfortunately, the message went straight into my 'others' inbox and I didn't receive the message until Saturday Morning when I accessed Facebook via my laptop. I was quite worried in regards to the win because most companies don't wait long before choosing another winner, especially in a competition like a premiere and it being only a couple of days away from the big day it's self. After a quick search of their Facebook my worst fears were met when a message caught my eye saying 'thank you for my tickets to The Last Witch Hunter premiere'. I messaged the company saying I'd seen someone else had claimed my tickets, thank you for originally choosing me and I hope that everyone (including the new winner) had a lovely time at the premiere. I didn't hear anything for the rest of the weekend and at 10am Monday - the day of the premiere - I received a message saying I could still have tickets to go and to confirm that I was able to attend.

Makeup Revolution Unicorns Unite Lipstick | Review

Makeup Revolution come out with releases faster than I eat hot dinners and there's been a whole bunch of new products coming out left, right, and center recently, and one of those new releases are the Unicorns Unite lipsticks. Everyone loves something a little more edgy and fun, and if you love unicorns then you'll definitely love these fantasy themed shades.

It's Autumn already. It's actually Autumn! Goodbye sandals and Summer dresses, hello cosy blankets, hot chocolates and booties. I feel like 2015 has been the fastest year of my entire existence. Now the day's are getting colder and Autumnal shades of berries and purples are beginning to appear I thought I'd share with you some of my beauty must-haves and Autumn/Winter essentials.

Teeny Tiny New Look Sales Haul

I do love a good old haul and when New Look announced they're end of season sale it was the chance to do another. I didn't order to much but I thought it would be nice to share with you what I did purchase and exactly what you can get your hands on for your money.

Autumn Boots Wishlist | Jones Bootmaker & Shoetique

Autumn has officially arrived and the colder weather will soon be starting to settle in and apart from hot chocolate, cosy blankets, log fires, and burning candles an absolute must are some winter boots. Now, I am a huge lover of any type of boot and wear them all year round - I'm a British girl after all and the weather is somewhat unpredictable. I've teamed up with Jonas Bootmaker and Shoetique to create a wish list of some of my favourites and to help you guys get boots ready for the upcoming seasons.

Life Update: Hello... I'm Back!

Morning you lovely lot. In regards to feeling pretty perky I'd say I was on 90%. My brain is clearly in overdrive and I can't sleep so I sit writing this at 3.55am. I did lie in bed for an hour attempting to return to the comfort of my dreams but it seems sleep isn't for me on this lovely Saturday morning. So, in regards to abandoning my blog over the September month, that definitely did happen. I can't believe I've only wrote 4 posts out and we're already on the 26th. There's no excuse for me not spending that much time on A British Sparkle apart from the fact I've just found the days speeding by and my life being more busier and more socially active than usual. Returning to my blog will be a priority come October and I promise now to make much more of an effort - I have so much stuff to review and write about and even that's been pushed to the back of the shelf. I hope you haven't missed me too much but I tell you something, I've certainly missed all of you.

This weekend will be filled with me writing lots of posts and getting back into the swing of things but for now you can catch me on Instagram @ABritishSparkle (I'm totally obsessed with Instagram at the moment and spend far to much time on it).

See you soon with lots more posts x

Grey by E L James | Book Review

I'm sure everyone and their dogs have heard of the Fifty Shades phenomenon by now and if not, where have you been? I'm very much aware it's not to everyone's cup of tea but I absolutely love it. I reviewed the Fifty Shades trilogy such a long time ago now. I believe it's not hugely popular due to the concept of the story, Christian himself and the obvious detailed throughout. Saying that, this is the only book I've actually managed to complete since Spring and I thought it was time my blog was due a book review.

Turkey & Coming Home Haul

Hey guys... So it seems I'm back with another haul today. If you've been up-to-date with my blog you'll of seen I recently went to Turkey. I picked up a few bits and pieces whilst I were there, and since being back I seemed to have done a tiny bit of shopping.

One of the first things I bought were these Estella Bartlett bracelets. I only had the intentions of getting the Dream Big one (star), but they had an offer on of £5 off if you bought 2 so I picked up Live as You Dream bracelet too. These were £10 each and I paid £15 with the £5 off for 2, however, these are £15 each on the John Lewis website. Thank goodness for Thomas Cook on-flight prices.

Makeup Revolution Eyeshadow Trio

Goodness, it feels like so long since I spoke about Makeup Revolution. Wow, I miss those guys. They've had a couple of new releases since my last post about them including; new palettes and launched FaceB4 - a new skincare range. This seems like amazing solution at combating severe acne or spots, and since my skin is forever up and down I hope to pick these up in the near future. Any how, I'm here today to talk about a trio of palettes I've picked up in the last 3/4 months.

My Summer | Lifestyle

 Hello, beautiful people...

It seems the Summers just flown by. There's not been much chance of hitting the beaches, wearing summer dresses and lighting up our barbecues this year. It's been typical, British, Summer time. I actually have no doubt that our Autumn will be filled with hot days that have us wearing shorts and sandals rather than wellies, scarfs and hats. I am, however, looking forward to enjoying hot chocolates, cosy nights in, and movie after movie with a really good book on the side.

Burt's Bees Deep Cleansing Cream - Review

 Happy Bank Holiday...

The Burt's Bees Soap Bark & Chamomile deep cleansing cream were one of the products available to choose in the Latest in Beauty' beauty awards 2015. It wasn't a product I was familiar with before hand but since choosing it amongst my 'dream picks' I've since found it's been a widely popular cleansing cream for a good few years now.

My Travels | Altinkum, Turkey

Hello everyone. Wow, it feels super weird to be typing on this blog again. I've literally not logged on for 2 whole weeks. If you've read the posts I've had scheduled you'll of seen that I have been away - I went on holiday to Turkey. We were originally suppose to go to Tunisia but due to recent events decided to rebook else where and then all flights were cancelled until late October anyways. I've really missed having the interaction with you all, reading and commenting on others blog posts, but the break away was welcome (that and the fact wifi was awful). I'm glad to be back and thought I'd get into the swing of things by telling you about my holiday and sharing with you lots of photo's.

Manchester Splurge - Clothing, Primark & For My Entertainment | Haul Part 2

Hello, beautiful people. I hope you're all well?

I mentioned a little while ago, in a haul post, my recent splurge in Manchester. I bought quite a bit and felt it was way to much to fit into one post so, I decided to split it into a a little series and this is the second part of my haul. If you missed part 1 of my haul you can see that here

Bourjois Smoky Eye Trio Palettes - Review

I'm a little late on the bandwagon regarding this product, but it's better late than never right? I recently picked up two of the the Bourjois trio eyeshadow palettes in Mordore Chic and Gris Lilac from the clearance section at Tesco for £2 each. If you saw my monthly haul you'll of seen that I thought these were slightly over-priced at £7.99 each. I am a fan of the brand but I wouldn't pay £7.99 for 3 eye-shadows from an high-street brand, especially when I can get 12 shades for £4 from some of the top budget brands on the high-street and they do a really good job.

Artisan Kitchen & Bar - Review

Me and my partner set a date, found ourselves a babysitter and decided to enjoy some 'us' time - something that doesn't happen very often, and if you are a parent you'll know these days are hard to come by. Our place of choice was Manchester. We decided to do a spot of shopping and go out for some dinner, or lunch for you southerners. Despite being in close proximity to Manchester, we've not really experienced much of the fine dining that Manchester has to offer. We did go somewhere fancy around Christmas Market period, a couple of years ago, and it was on the main high street. The rather trendy Artisan Kitchen & Bar was recommended to us my some friends and we went along to hunt it down. It's situated on Avenue North (near all the designer shops) and I was surprised to see just how much the area had changed, having attended Manchester Fashion Week with Missguided several years ago. In fact Artisan was in the very same building and back then it was nothing more than a newly built building and a rather empty shell, a building site. A good few years later and it's been transformed (see pic above).

Maybelline Color Show Polish │ Sparkle On

Got to put the sparkle into A British Sparkle don't I? I love a good glitter polish, so when I saw this I picked it up. The bonus being that it was 75p (RRP £2.99) in the Tesco Beauty clearance section and I wasn't leaving this pretty behind. It's an almost clear polish with a slight hint of colour to it. There's holographic sequin silver glitters and smaller particle glitters too. I believe it's called Glitter It.

Drayton Manor | The Land of Thomas - Family Day Out & Saving Tips

For months now we've been planning a trip to Drayton Manor as a Birthday treat for my eldest who recently just turned 6 years old - trust me when I say I'm still struggling to come to terms with the fact I have a 6 year old. My son is a huge Thomas & Friends fan, and with that in mind Drayton Manor (the place of Thomas Land) was our place of choice to celebrate at. Summer is a confusing time for us in the United Kingdom, but the sudden change in weather (we got sunshine woo) makes any theme park a great place to visit right now, and Drayton Manor is perfect for everyone of any age. In today's post I thought I'd share our day in pictures and share my saving tips on enjoying what could be an expensive day out for less.

Collective Haul - Headphones, Shoes & Bits and Pieces ♥ | Part 1

Hello people, today I am back with another haul for you. I've not really bought much over the past month, come Summer and it seems there's a lot of important birthdays, holidays and various other expenses. One thing that's been noticeable amongst the high street at late are the huge sales. They seem to be everywhere at the moment and I managed to pop into a couple of retail shops to pick up some bits and pieces.

Burt's Bees Lip Crayon in Hawaiian Smoulder

I've never tried any of the Burt's Bees makeup range before and I feel like I've really been missing out. I got this lip crayon last month in the Latest in Beauty 'Dream Picks' and I definitely made the right decision by choosing it. Burt's Bees likes to use natural ingredients in they're products and the lip crayon is no exception - with this being 100% natural.

The World of Beatrix Potter at Lake Windermere

Lake Windermere is one of my favourite places in the whole world. I'd definitely pay good money to get married here in the future - Just imagine the photo's. The whole place is so picturesque with scenic views looking over and beyond the lake. I've wrote about the lakes on more than one on occasion, but a reason to visit is another reason to write about it. This time we experienced new surroundings, different walks and made a visit to The World of Beatrix Potter.

Freedom Makeup | Romance & Jewels Eyeshadow Palette

It's no secret that eyeshadow palettes are my beauty guilty pleasure. I must have dupes of high end palettes twice over from different brands but I don't care, palettes are my makeup love and I'm not ashamed to admit it. When new brand, Freedom Makeup, was introduced to us a few months ago the eyeshadow palettes were definitely the makeup product I found myself checking out first, and with an impressive range available there's something to suit everyone - and prices start from just £2.50

Lifestyle | The Great Outdoors

ENJOY SUMMER ON A BUDGET - Evening you beautiful people. I hope you are all very well? I wrote this post a couple of weeks ago when I thought British Summer time had hit us. Of course it did hit us in typical British style and the sunshine didn't last very long at all! Hopefully the sun and heat decide to return and we're able to raid our Summer wardrobes once more. I've been exploring some beautiful countryside at late and I thought I'd share some of the places that cost next to nothing to go for the day. If you're ever around the Lancashire area or looking for a staycation then you're in for a treat.

NEW Zoella Fresh Fizz Bar | The Tutti-Frutti Range

I always think it's great to see bloggers / vloggers (people like me and you) achieve such great success. Whether that's bringing out a book, starring in a movie or bringing out a beauty range like Zoe. I've followed Zoe greatly amongst her various social media and Youtube channels and were really happy to hear she was releasing a beauty range. The packaging it self screams Zoe and instantly reminds me of her blog, which makes it easy to tell she had a huge input in this range. For me, personally, I couldn't justify spending money on the bath bits and pieces - having got a cupboard full - but one thing I lack in are bath fizzers. So when the time came I picked up the Zoella Fizz Bar and I loved it. Recently Latest in Beauty opened their first ever beauty awards for 2015 and the fizz bar was up amongst the picks for new product and it was a definite winner for me. When choosing your 'dream picks' it is in fact the fresh fizz bar that was up for grabs, and I couldn't wait to add it to my box.

Dare To Pout With Freedom Lipsticks - Review

Apart from eyeshadow palettes I love nothing more than a good lipstick and there's many budget brands out there that deliver in terms of quality and pigmentation at a really affordable price. Freedom Makeup being one of them so, I was excited to receive 5 of those lipsticks and later purchase another 2. I was sent the Pro Pink Lipstick Collection which is buy 4 get 1 free - and at a pound each that's not bad at all.

Latest in Beauty - My Dream Picks | Beauty Awards 2015

You've probably heard by now that Latest in Beauty are running their very first beauty awards this year. If you haven't heard then where have you been? Basically you're able to vote for your favourites amongst 8 categorises, picking your dream box, and automatically being added into a huge prize draw to win every single full size finalist product worth £875.

There's 3 boxes to choose from - which is great for any budget - with prices starting from just £8.99 (excluding postage). There's Box 1 (£8.99) and you choose 3 products, Box 2 (£12.99) and you choose 6 products, or Box 3 (£16.99) and you choose 9 products. All products available are the same for each box you can just pick and choose whether you want 3, 6, or 9 products. I went for box 3 just because I'd never be able to decide on just the 3 or 6, and even though I haven't tried everything in my box there's a couple I have tried and the rest I'm looking forward to using in the near future.

My Summer Favourites ☼

Now that Summers finally graced the British shores and given us a little sunlight and warmth I thought rather than share with you a monthly favourites I'd do a Summer one instead. Now, I'm a bit of a plain Jane when it comes to swapping my makeup round and don't do enough to justify a monthly favourites but, this is the next best thing, a peak into what I've been loving over the last couple of weeks/months and will do right into and probably beyond Summer.

Makeup Revolution ♥ Mermaids Forever Ultra Eyeshadows Palette

Almost unheard of me to go a month without doing a Makeup Revolution post, but that's just how long it's been. I haven't done a review post since May on Makeup Revolution. Today I am back with the Mermaids Forever palette and it's an absolute stunner. It's got a lot of shimmer, which won't be to everyone's cup of tea, but for me, personally, I love shimmery shades more than matte. This palette is only what I can describe as an explosion of colour and there's lot of vibrant, bright shades and a couple of more wearable nudes.

Shopaholic Splurge

Today I'm back with another collective haul. It's a haul in a long line of hauls, which, you can find in my blog archive if you wish to read those and have a nosy of what I've been buying lately.

Llandudno - Day Out In North Wales

I've only had the pleasure of visiting Wales once before. I was very young, like primary school age and I loved it, but it's not a place I've really thought of visiting again until Llandudno was mentioned to me last week. I'm actually based in Lancashire (on the Yorkshire boarder) and mentioning North Wales to my family produced a few frowns to say the least. Wales isn't at all a place I'd of thought about visiting for just a day, but then I didn't realise just how close North Wales was - just a 2 hours drive. And it's well worth the drive. Llandudno is a very picturesque town. It's got the most gorgeous coastal line with the bluest of seas, and not forgetting the spectacular views.

Pro Impact Nails by Freedom Beauty

You've probably seen the buzz surrounding Freedom Makeup over the last few weeks, if not, I've spoken about them quite a bit recently so if you've not seen my previous posts you can do so here and here. I'm a huge fan of sister brand Makeup Revolution, so I was more than a little excited to hear the announcement of a new brand and with that comes a whole bunch of new and exciting products. It's clear to see that both brands have many similarities, but you can see the differences and one of those differences is the nail polish.

Too Faced La Crème Lipstick in Bumbleberry - Review

Too Faced are a brand I see regularly on blogs, yet one I haven't really had the pleasure of trying. I managed to pick up a couple of lip products at late and one of those were the La Crème, from Sephora, which I got when I was back in New York almost 2 months ago now. Hasn't time flown by? I love the look of their eyeshadow palettes, they look quite the novelty and I'm really wanting to try their Better Than Sex Mascara which seems to be a must-have.

The Book List Challenge

I'm a book hoarder. There, I've said it. There's come a time where I have to take charge and stop purchasing books. It's an endless circle of buying, shoving them on my bookshelf and then buying again. There's not even enough reading going on for the amount I am buying and it's come to the point where I'm feeling slightly overwhelmed by the amount of books I still have to read, yet buying books is such a wonderful feeling and I pick them up whenever I can. For those who say 'I don't have time to read' (me included) it's certainly not true. 10 minutes is all it takes, before you go bed, in the bath, reading is do-able anywhere and I'm one of those who could make the time if I chose to read rather than doing other things like watching tv, reading blogs or catching up on Youtube. Nothing beats a good book, discovering new characters and trying to work out the plots and wondering what will happen at the turn of every page.

Freedom Makeup Pro Eyebrow Palette - Review

By now you've probably heard of the new brand Freedom Makeup, if not here's the low down. Freedom Makeup are a sister brand of Makeup Revolution. It's easy to spot their similarities, but Freedom Makeup is true to makeup artists with a simple, sleek look and affordable prices. There's big savings on Professional Kits and they have teamed up with House of GlamDolls to offer makeup courses at affordable prices. Of course you're able to purchase regardless of your makeup status, but if you are an MUA than Freedom Makeup offer an incredible 20% off their sale prices. The quality of makeup is very similar to that of Makeup Revolution, but they have slightly different products and in my opinion the nail polish is a different formula altogether and well worth picking up at only one pound a bottle.

A Never Ending Book Haul & Adult Colouring Books

I have a confession which involves an addiction... I am addicted to buying books! I've purchased quite a few, even had them bought for Christmas and my Birthday with huge hopes of reading them and just never get the chance. My addictions got so bad that I'm literally hoarding books. I have around 50 - maybe more - unread books on my book shelf and Kindle, with only 10 being on my kindle. It's like my brain doesn't process that I have all these books to read at home and should NOT purchase anymore, but that just never seems to happen. I blame catching up on The Originals and then Pretty Little Liars for my lack of reading, but still, that's no excuse. So, I've decided to create a list of books I'd like to buy and only buy them when I've finished reading every single book I am yet to read. Wish me luck, I'm going to need it. I've thought about the book buying ban before and still that didn't stop me buying quite a few books over the last few weeks.

MayBeauty: The Incredible Face Mask - Review

The lovely people at MayBeauty very kindly got in touch and asked if I'd like to review their incredible face mask, and of course I said yes. I've tried a very similar mask to this before, from a different brand, but it's the little touches that win my seal of approval and that's the fact this one comes with an application brush - This makes applying the mask easy and messy-free.

Birchbox: June Edition - French Sole

When the email came rolling in with the three designs for this month's Birchbox I sighed with serious envy. All three looked amazing, but the one that stood out to me the most was this gorgeous washed-out floral one - a clear keeper and one I shall certainly be filling with various bits and pieces. I'm not one for waiting around and despite the fact I do love surprises I also can't resist a sneaky peak at what to expect. And I have to say, the previews on other people's blogs were amazing. I got so excited and waiting in anticipation for mine to come through the door, but that excitement turned a little sour when I saw what was inside my box. I'm slightly underwhelmed with the contents of my box, maybe not the contents overall, but the sizes and how those sizes compare to the other products that were available. I felt like they weren't really split equally between each box depending on size as well as products.

Introducing Freedom Makeup ♥

Freedom are the new makeup brand in town. If you aren't familiar with them you may see there are some slight similarities to Makeup Revolution - and that's because they are owned by the same people.

'Freedom has been created with makeup artists in mind so although you see some similarities between the brands you should see a distinct difference between the two brands overall' - The Freedom Team.

That's not all that's different... Freedom Makeup have partnered with House of GlamDolls an exclusive makeup school, in London, to bring you training and courses at a really good price. Courses start from the 20th of June and are available to book here.

J&S Jewellery - A Personalised Piece

A couple of weeks ago I was scrolling down my Facebook news feed when I came across one of the adverts. This advert happened to be for J&S Jewellery, a company I'd never looked into nor ever heard of. They just happened to be advertising the necklace in my post, and it just happens I fell quickly in love and purchased without hesitation. J&S Jewellery are a huge seller of all things jewellery (you don't say) on the website Not On The High Street. I have had the pleasure of looking on the site, but never made a purchase, until now. J&S Jewellery are very popular with thousands of glowing reviews.

Fashion Savvy: Updating Your Childs Wardrobe For Less Than A £100 - SS/15 Edition & Haul

I like to think of myself as a savvy spender. I like to have the best things at the greatest price and in doing so I shop around and look for the best deal (usually, buying there and then is a big no no for me - unless I'm on a shopping spree of course or at the supermarket). I find shopping online is where I find my best deals, and it's much easier to compare prices online. This can be anything; toys, clothes, dvd's or even books - absolutely anything. And why not? I mean you compare prices for your car insurance, energy bills, so why not compare everything and save a little. My daughter seems to have shot up in the last couple of months and in doing so all her clothes have gotten to small. She towers over those in reception at my sons school, despite only being 3 and not starting school until next year. So, with this in mind, I set myself the challenge of updating her wardrobe as cheaply as possible. I didn't want to go crazy - she's growing at an incredible rate (please slow down) - and these clothes will be on an outgrown pile before we know it.

Debenhams have some really great offers on at the moment with up to 70% off dresses and 20% off kids clothing. This dress is now only available in ages 9 and 11, but they have a great selection of others to choose from - J by Jasper Conran navy shoe printed dress

May Favourites 2015

It's been such a long time since I did a favourites. Favourites isn't something I tend to do because I feel I don't swap my makeup products around enough, but this month I've tried some newer products and also found some in my stash that I've rediscovered and really started to love too. I thought I'd mix it up a bit and rather than keep it being just beauty add my TV favourites and a couple of accessories into the mix.

A Collective Haul - Beauty, Homeware & Randomness

I do love a good haul and I hope you do to because I seem to have been doing quite a lot of shopping recently. One thing I seem to have not bought for quite a while is makeup, like new makeup not typical must-have top ups. With going away, recently, I knew that I needed to get a few skincare essentials and thought this was the perfect opportunity to purchase a couple of makeup bits too. It seems my couple of makeup bits have had babies and I've ended up collecting quite a lot over the last month or so - resulting in a collective haul.
