Getting Party Ready With Quiz

Party season is now upon us, whether that's the works Christmas do or the New Year celebrations it's well and truly here, and thinking about what to wear can be somewhat of a blag. Christmas is a day I really like to get my glam rags on and make a real effort to dress up a little. I've teamed up with Quiz in order to deliver you a selection of my personal favourite party dresses. Quiz definitely have exceeded my expectation's on the party dress front and they've got a great selection to choose from. And if that isn't enough, Quiz, have now expanded into Spain, with the opening of three new stores and an e-store. The stores that have opened are in Madrid, Islazul, TresAguas and Xanadú, with more stores due to open in 2018.

Personalised Gift For Book Worms | The Young Generation

I'm such a huge fan of Wonderbly (formally know has lostmy.name) and what they have to offer. I'm such a book worm and love a personalised gift, so although these books are on the younger side I love to be able to gift them to my children. I've got a few books from Wonderbly now and love each and every one of them, and so do the kids. I really want to get my hands on My Golden Ticket, which is a collaboration with Ronald Dahl about Willy Wonka's chocolate factory.. a film I'm so obsessed with!!! Original of course.

Life | Where I'm at ♥

Wow. It feels quite bizarre to be sat here writing on my little space on the internet again, and yet feels so completely natural. It's quite apparent that I've taken some time off of blogging, too much actually and it's now over two months later. Last time I wrote on my blog I was adamant that I was definitely going to get back into the swing of things and hopefully deliver some great content, life then got a little (a lot) hectic and the blog was once again brushed under the rug. I'd love to say I'm finally back but I don't want to give false hope when life is still crazy busy. We can hope though right?! Without rambling too much lets get on to my life update...

Zoella Beauty Jelly & Gelato Trio - Review

I've really enjoyed bits and pieces that I've tried from the last couple of collections from Zoella Beauty and when I saw Zoe was releasing yet another range I was excited to see what was on offer. I loved the whole vibe surrounding ice cream and the way she went, alongside friends, promoting the range (see in her vlog). I decided to choose three of the products that caught my attention in regards to packaging and only because I wasn't stuck for anything in-particular with having the biggest collection of bath products you will ever see!!! Let's get on with it shall we...

Ed Sheeran | My Experience

This post is way overdue but I thought it was about time I told you about my first Ed Sheeran encounter. I was fortunate enough to attend Ed Sheeran's Manchester Arena tour date. Knowing full well how hard it was to come by these tickets and being very lucky to be in the position I was to purchase 2 I really cherished every moment, that and it being freakin' Ed Sheeran

On the day the tickets went on sale I had numerous tabs up on various different sites and was met with a queue on all of them. I then started hearing that tickets had sold out within minutes and I was close to giving up and walking away from my laptop and I did, sort of. I left my laptop and went about my day for the next hour, numerous sites started coming up sold out and I left just 2 tabs open with very little hope and when I come back to close my laptop down I found I'd got through to purchasing one on one of the sites with the other coming up sold out and this is well over an hour in. I managed to purchase 2 tickets, I've never been so thankful in my life having waited for this moment since Ed Sheeran's very first tour I was feeling really blessed and really lucky.

The Forbidden Corner | Family Time

It's been a couple of months since I went to The Forbidden Corner and I thought it was time I shared my experience with you. I first visited The Forbidden Corner when I was about 14 years old and thoroughly enjoyed it enough to want to go back many moons later with my own children and family. It's a few hours drive from my home, but very scenic and full of beautiful countryside from A to B. They advise you to book online prior to visiting to guarantee a good experience, entry and obviously room for your car in the car park.

One Love Manchester | The Concert

Terrorism in this county has really hit home these past couple of months and not only been very upsetting but quite alarming too. Being a northern girl myself and Manchester being quite close to home and Manchester Arena being somewhere I've attended several concerts at over the past 12 months was quite frightening for myself, although not anywhere near that of those who were at the Ariana Grande concert when tragedy struck that night. Victoria Station (locatated underneath the arena) was somewhere I went with my baby girl a mere 9 days before and only 4 weeks previous had I attended the Ed Sheeran concert at Manchester Arena it's self. I feel fortunate that it wasn't one of those events that were struck when I attended myself but heartbroken and saddened by the tragedy that unfolded and for the victims, the injured, the families, friends and tragically the 22 that lost their lives. I call them Manchesters 22 and would like to just taken a moment to remember those who so tragically lost their lifes and were taken way too soon. To thank the emergency services that responded so quickly and to the police that are still continously patrolling the streets. I'd also like to take a moment to remember those killed and think of those seriously injured and fighting after the terroist attack in London just a few days ago.

#GirlCrush Box Opening | April Edition

I received my first #GirlCrush box back in March and I was rather impressed by the contents alongside how much I paid and the value of the what was inside overall, however, March for me was the month I signed up purely down to the fact it was my Birthday and I thought it would be a nice treat and something a bit different, like a box full of surprises. Having been impressed with March I then decided to carry on my subscription and see what April would be all about and I wasn't disappointed nor ecstatic about the contents although it still was a good selection. They were changes made to the website which led to everyone's subscription being cancelled and those who subscribed to #GirlCrush were emailed and told to resubscribe and I decided not to on this occasion but I'm certainly intrigued to know what the May and June edition will entail and I may resubscribe soon! You can see the March box here.

A Random Mix - Collective Haul

It's been quite some time since I uploaded a haul and I've done quite a bit of shopping over the past month and treated myself to some bits and pieces that mainly consist of lots of bargains. I've not added everything into this post in photo content and will be sure to try and link those pieces at the bottom of this post - enjoy.

Foodie Review | bakerdays Letterbox Cake

If there's one thing I love that's a lovely cup of tea and a tasty piece of cake. I'm not much of a cake eater, but I definitely appreciate a tasty piece of cake every now and again. I've heard of bakerdays for quite a while now having seen them scattered among various blogs with a similar post to that I'm in the process of writing and always was intrigued by the concept of a 'letterbox cake' but never went ahead and bought one, however, I was recently offered the opportunity to review one bakerdays letterbox cakes and jumped at the chance.

lostmy.name | Kingdom of You - Book Review

It's not the first time I have had the pleasure of reviewing a book from the lovely people at lostmy.name, so when they got in contact with the opportunity of reviewing the latest addition to their book collection I jumped at the chance. I previously expressed my love of personalised gifts and the fact that it's in book format (another love of mine) is just a added bonus.

Happy Easter ♥

Easter weekend is finally here and for most of you, your long weekend off work will have began Friday. Easter is the one day a year where we can get away with chocolate for breakfast, dinner and tea, to just go crazy on the sweet stuff and overindulge. Whatever you're doing, however you're spending it, I hope the weather is as magical as the chocolate you're munching into. I hope you have a great day and weekend.

Welcome To The World Little One ♥

Finally, what started off has the fastest pregnancy and then went into a slow last month and half my baby girl is finally here. It's been a whirlwind of adjusting to the needs of a newborn after 5 and half years since having my last baby and it's not been the easiest adjustment with two slightly, older children one of whom is autistic and quite dependent on me at times. I feel like I've taken to it like super Mum, although it's still the holiday's and I'm dreading half term coming to a close and school beginning on Tuesday. Let's me introduce you to...

Makeup Revolution | Highlighter Galore - New Release & Swatches

I feel like I've gotten myself into a terrible routine of keeping my makeup almost the same daily with an occasional switch of eyeshadow or a different pop of colour on my lips and for that reason, I find myself for the most part not switching it up and going with a different look entirely. I think over the last few months especially I've gone from lacking much energy and motivation and even more so now that I'm overdue by 5 days - such a drag! I've not had the pleasure of properly using the items Makeup Revolution recently sent me and for that I apologise, but it is total highlight galore and each item below is super pretty.

Pregnancy | I'm 9 Months Pregnant ♥

In all honesty, I didn't think I'd be writing another pregnancy related post whilst being pregnant and thought anything regarding pregnancy would be an arrival announcement and here I sit (April 2nd) on my sofa still feeling all uncomfortable and pregnant. I was 1cm dilated a couple of weeks ago and since then not much has changed, everything's pretty much the same and I'm still playing the waiting game.

Birthday & Mother's Day Haul

I've been very lucky this past weekend to not only have my Birthday (March 25th) but also have Mother's Day fall into the same weekend. I was blessed with a weekend of present opening, a child-friendly outing at a local farm and a meal at Frankie and Benny's too. I was truly spoilt by my loved one's and thought I'd share with you what I was gifted in a post.

#GirlCrush Box Opening | A Little Bit of Everything in a Box !!

#GirlCrush Box was made with the hopes of reaching out to social media influences in getting smaller brands alongside some well know brands out into the spotlight. I was very happy to be contacted by the #GirlCrush Box team themselves and being asked to become a social media influencer. There are so many smaller, unknown, but great brands out there and if I can help in any way to highlight them then I'm definitely on board to getting involved. #GirlCrush Box themselves are an invitation only box, although you are able to fill in your details online if you are interested in being a social influencer and the team behind the box will get in contact with you at a later date. Hashtag boxed is like no other box seen across most blogging platforms and comes with a lot of variety - there's makeup, beauty, fashion and lifestyle bits and pieces inside each box. They also ask for information to try and suit the box to your own personal tastes. The box each month is £30 but the price was £20 for the first 30 social media influencers that signed up. Alongside the box, 10% of the takings goes to charity each month.

Mother's Day: The Pretty Little Treat Company - Bath Scents Gift Set

When it come's to buying gifts for Birthday's and that I find that it can be a real struggle to find the perfect gift, especially when there's so much on the market. With Mother's Day around the corner (26th of March for us UK peeps) it can be a difficult decision to choose what to buy when so many companies offer amazing gifts and such a wide variety of gifts too. A great and rather safe gift to buy is anything that is going to offer a pamper and some relaxation and that's where The Pretty Little Treat Company comes in.

Makeup Revolution: Renaissance Lipstick Review & Swatches

Makeup Revolution have recently been throwing out some really amazing releases lately and one of them are the Renaissance Lipsticks. The collection consists of 20 shades that range from nudes, reds, pinks and deep browns. Each lipstick is housed in the most beautiful rose gold packaging and it looks much expensive and luxurious than the mere £4 each.

Pregnancy Update: It's The Final Countdown - Updated

I can hardly believe this pregnancy is coming to an end. I haven't long since hit the 8 months mark and today marks the final 4-week countdown to my due date. Apart from the sterilising of bottles, etc, and the last few thing's needing to be packed in the hospital bag everything else is ready to go.  I thought it was the right time to do my final pregnancy update before my announcement of my baby girl's birth and also fill you in on how thing's have been going since my last update.

Little Mix Wishmaker Perfume | Review

When the Boot's January Sale popped up on the Boot's website I decided to go on the hunt for some perfume. I don't tend to purchase much perfume for myself and only use the sales to top up and usually spend as little as possible. I'd started to run out of some of my favourites and wanted something a little different to try. When I saw the Little Mix Wishmaker gift set was only £13 I quickly added it to my shopping cart with an open mind. I've tried many celebrity perfumes before and been thoroughly impressed; Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Katy Perry, and Britney Spears are among some of my celebrity faves.

Haul | Primark, River Island & More ♥

I decided to go on a bit of a spree yesterday. I didn't go out with the intention of purchasing anything, but the opportunity arose and I took full advantage of what the shops had to offer. I live in a town where the shops are quite awful and not really suited to myself, personally, and certainly, don't have a Primark or H&M. I'm not one to spend much if anything at all on myself and I tend to spend most shopping sprees treating the kids so it was quite nice just to think about myself for a change. Although I did finish the day off feeling guilty despite not purchasing one item at full RRP and everything being in the sale or on offer or just very very cheap. So let's get down to what I picked up...

Makeup Revolution Pro Fix Illuminating Fixing Spray - Review | Exclusive

I was very fortunate to be sent a parcel from the lovely team over at Tam Beauty, which included the Fast Love palette from I Heart Makeup and some love heart sweets over Valentine's alongside a new release, the Pro Fix Illuminating Fixing Spray from Makeup Revolution. I've been previously sent the Fast Love palette from the PR Team and therefore decided not to mention it because I'm pretty sure it's among the blog posts on A British Sparkle and therefore I gifted it to my now very happy Mum.

What's In My Hospital Bag | Pregnancy Edition - What You'll Need!!!

I'm approaching 34 weeks now and with having a couple of complications regarding the growth of the baby and the water surrounding her I thought it was time to make a start on my hospital bag. Whilst I'm writing this I just want to reassure you that for the first in my pregnancy I left the hospital after my scan on a high. The water is now at a good measurement and the babies growth is within the measurement guidelines, just. I'm due for another growth scan early March and if the measurements have stayed within the two lines then all is great, but if the measurement shows the baby to have dropped below the line then the midwife is looking at potentially delivering the baby early. She was just above the line, so still on the small side. Nevertheless, she's perfectly healthy with a good, strong heartbeat.

What I'm Loving On Netflix ♥

One of my favourite things to do is sit back in the bath and indulge in a little pampering whilst watching my favourite Netflix Series. Over the last couple of weeks or months, I've started watching some of the newer series that have been uploaded to Netflix and some of the older one's that I'd not thought of watching before that I'm currently enjoying. I've found some of my faves that I've dedicated years of my life to are now coming to an end and the finale / last season of them will soon be here, therefore I've found myself filling the void. I thought it'd be quite nice to share with you what I'm loving on Netflix and hopefully give you the push to give them a watch yourself.

Katie Price | Purple Heart Fragrance - Review

Katie Price recently released a limited edition fragrance as part of her Katie Price Beauty Range with Tam Beauty, the people behind Makeup Revolution.  I think a lot of celebrity fragrances are frowned upon and this tends to be due to the hit and miss aspect of the scents. I have a selection of celebrity fragrances that I really love, but there's also a lot that are very underwhelming in terms of the scent.

Purple Heart is made up of raspberry, bitter orange, patchouli and honey notes.

Bomb Cosmetics, River Island & Paperchase Haul

I didn't think I'd be purchasing anything that would be enough to create a collective mini haul so soon, but after my Bomb Cosmetics sales order being messed up and getting alternative products and then starting up my blog properly again I ended up with a selection of products that I thought you'd all like to see. A couple of the baths bombs that I got are from the Bomb Cosmetics Christmas range and no longer available, but I'm sure the majority are still available to purchase so I'll be sure to try and link most of what can still be bought alongside everything else in this haul.

Lostmy.name | Personalised Gifts For Boys & Girls

When Lostmy.name got in contact with me about reviewing one of their books I was super excited. Although not for myself I love a personalised gift and the concept of that in book format makes for a really great keepsake. I chose one of three books, The Incredible Intergalactic Journey Home and after making the personalisations that suited my son I decided to choose another book for my daughter and then add a game for them both to share. I just couldn't get one without the other and it's something I'll always feel strongly about unless it was one of their Birthday's. I really love the idea of a gift that brings something exciting and educational and this will make a gift for any occasion or just a general treat. I personally like to make my two a little Valentine's gift pack up and these will be going in them.

Haircare // Free From Frizz Try Me Smoothie Kit - Review

I've had the Free From Frizz Try Me Smoothie Kit for over a month now and although I've not continuously used it over that period of time, I have dipped in and out of using the products inside alongside other shampoo and conditioner. The set is made up of 4 products that are quite small in size and good for taking away in your wash bag for the weekend rather than continuous daily use.

Pregnancy Update - Third Trimester

It's been a good few weeks since I entered my third trimester and now that time's ticking and it's not long before we'll be in the single digits on this weekly countdown I thought it was about time I gave an update of where I am and how I'm feeling within this pregnancy since my last update. I've not been updating or sharing the pregnancy with you as much as I'd of liked and apart from getting bigger I've felt relatively the same throughout, although I am feeling a lot more excited about the prospect of being a Mummy to a newborn again and not feeling kinda blue about the whole thing. Pregnancy Reveal and Gender Reveal are clickable links if you want to refresh your memory on my pregnancy so far.

Sales & Pre-Christmas Treats Haul

There's nothing better than some guilt-free shopping, especially when there are numerous sales on and you've recently been gifted gift cards and money at Christmas. I decided to take full advantage of the sales and what was on offer and treat myself and I'm really happy with what I've managed to find.

Eyeko Black Magic Mascara Vs Rimmel Scandaleyes Reloaded - Mascara Review

Two of my favourite high street mascara's are the Rimmel Lash Accelerator Endless mascara and the Rimmel Wonder'full mascara. Clear to see that my go-to brand for mascara is definitely Rimmel. When my trusty accelerator mascara ran out I decide to use something different from my mascara stash. I picked up Black Magic Mascara from the Eyeko in a recent Latest in Beauty build your own box and since Eyeko is quite the premium mascara brand I thought I'd put it to the test and inform you of my thoughts.

Collective Haul - Part 2

I'm back with part 2 of my collective haul. I've enjoyed treating myself to some really nice bargains at late and I'm really looking forward to coming back with another haul of my boxing day sale purchases and pre-Christmas treats. There's no better time to treat yourself than around the Christmas period, especially when everything is super cheap. I recently went to the Christmas markets at Manchester and although I didn't really purchase anything from the stalls that wasn't food related I did manage to pick up a few bits from stores around the city.

Happy New Year ♥

Happy New Year Guys!! Wow, 2016 definitely flew by in a huge blur. It feels like I've hardly had anytime to blink and let myself adjust to life. The last 12-14 months have definitely left me feeling a mixture of emotions and I've adjusted to a lot of change in that time. So much has happened and those adjustments have for sure been hard to deal with at times, but they've also been lots of exciting and good times too. Although the year hasn't exactly ended on the most positive of notes personally, I'm trying to go into 2017 with a positive and optimistc outlook that everything will work itsself out and be alright. It's easier said than done and it's a very daunting experience but I've to take the good with the bad and hope everything works out in my favour and for the best.
