Newcastle Trip

The other weekend we took a trip up to Newcastle. My partner is a Geordie so every few months we'll pack up the car and go see family, and in return they come and see us too. I've been to Newcastle a fair few times since I turned 17 (which is the age I was when I met my partner) but never really experienced the sites much, or didn't have a camera to snap away. Now a day's it's important I document everywhere I go - that's the blogger inside me, or a Mum wanting to keep our memories alive with photos. I visited a good few places that us sightseers are drawn to when visiting new places. So, come with me on my long weekend away in Newcastle and see the journey I went on, the places I visited in pictures - and a few words.

I've Got Your Number By Sophie Kinsella | Book Review

I've heard so much about Sophie Kinsella, read loads of reviews and despite seeing that majority of her novels are right up my street I'd never sat down and read anything from her, until just recently. My first book of choice is I've Got Your Number. This book is a couple of years old, those who are fans of Sophie Kinsella have probably read this but being a newbie of this amazing writer I thought it only fair I shared this online with you - plus, I really enjoyed it.

Own Your Bed Head

French plait.
I wonder how your hair looked this morning… Seriously! When you woke up, were you dealing with out-of-control frizz, an untamable tress-mess, or mangled tangles? - caspersleep.com

New Love Studio & Southport

New Love Studio are a little jewellery company based in the North East that supply jewellery from various brands. They create various items, some are unique, others have only been created a few times, and they can make something old into something new. They create one of a kind engagement, wedding and eternity rings as well as earrings and pendents, etc. I was fortunate enough to get my hands on a pair of their earrings after winning one of their recent giveaways. I don't tend to wear studs often so I was happy enough to reintroduce myself to a pair of studs, and what better way then with this gorgeous pair.

These are handcrafted sterling silver 'Shield Of Hearts' stud earrings -  here.

National Railway Museum | York

Bit of a different post from me today, a lifestyle one. The other week was my son's 5th birthday - I know, 5, I can hardly believe it myself. Reflecting on my sons age, made me think just how old I'm getting myself, saying that I am still young, and a young mum, but I very much feel old in the head - I'm still young at heart though ;) It goes without saying just how quickly time is going, how every moment is precious, how every second counts and how life is a blessing and you should cherish every moment. With each year passing a new chapter opens, and I think it's important to make the most of it, live your dream, reach your goals, travel the world if you want to, live for you and the one's you love, make yourself happy. put yourself first (if you can) and most importantly make memories. So, with my sons birthday in mind and our trip to Knowsley safari park cancelled thanks to typical British weather, me and my family took a trip out and made memories, not the most exciting of places for all of us, but making memories as a family is what counts and it was my sons birthday and he loved it, because he loves trains. Yes, we took a trip to the national train museum in York.

Stila 'in the light' palette - Review

This beautifully stunning in the light eye shadow palette by Stila is in no way a newbie and wasn't one for my wish list either, but after seeing the swatches on Zoe' (Zoella's blog - here ) I was sold and quickly picked it up from Feel Unique -  link - using a voucher I won. I haven't looked back since. Inside are ten gorgeous shades that can be applied wet or dry, 4 are matte and 6 shimmer. In the light comes with a smudge stick in damsel, which is a waterproof eyeliner. The palette it's self comes in sturdy cardboard packaging, and closes using a magnet - which stays closed nicely. Inside is a mirror of a really good size.

Prime Deception By Carys Jones

John Quinn is a journalist for England's biggest-selling tabloid newspaper, and is about to write the most juiciest story of his career - a kiss-and-tell involving a very powerful man. The deputy prime minister. John's story is sadly taken before he get's chance to interview Lorna Thomas (the kiss-and-tell), when she supposedly kills herself, on a country road. Unable to accept her twin sisters death, Laurie embarks on an adventure to London, stepping right into her sisters footsteps - moving into her home and going into her old job, that's not without having her first encounter with the deputy pm.

Makeup Revolution | Blush & Contour Palette - Review

Since getting my hands on Makeup Revolution's blush & contour palette I've been wearing it religiously every single day, and if I've not it's because I've gone makeup free. The blush & contour palette is available to buy in two palettes, both come with a series of different shades. There's the first palette in sugar & spice, this one comes with statement pinks for a lovely pop of colour. The second palette - which is what I've got - is hot spice, this is made up of a bunch of pinky/orange shades, and the more subtle of the two. Inside is 8 shades that consist of shimmer and matte blushers, merged baked blusher and merged baked highlighter.
