NYC Diaries | Day 4 - Rolling Down Wall Street

It's Day 4 and yes, I'm up early again. The jet lag really kicked in last night and I fell asleep way to early and that resulted in getting up at 4am - like every other day then. Today we decided to go else where for breakfast. Roxy's is situated on a corner right near our hotel and despite it being a little more expensive than where we've eaten previously it's still good food.

Today I had Belgium waffles with fruit salad, granola, currents and cream. After another hearty breakfast, and one I managed to finish, we went along to the Statue of Liberty.

The Statue of Liberty is on Liberty island and taking a ferry there is a must! This was the perfect opportunity to take photo's of the skyline, at ground level, and out at sea is probably the best place.

The true extent of the Freedom Tower and how tall it is can now be seen.

This is Ellis Island. Back in the day immigration would come here to queue with hope of getting into the country. They'd be checked for head lice and so on, before hand.

After visiting the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island we had a walk over to Wall Street and various over places.

Whilst in New York I had my first, ever, Pret de Manger. In fact, I had 2 in 1 day but it was good. I feel it's more of a lunch place than anything and I opted for sweet potatoe and cauliflower curry.

My Dad tripped on wall street and did an army type roll down it...

Keeping up with the Kardashians is definitely my guilty pleasure and visiting their New York Dash store was a must! Dash NY is currently on Spring Street but they do have an habit of changing premises when their lease is up. I did go in store and were met by friendly Dash Dolls. They have such gorgeous clothes, unfortunately, I have no room in my case for clothes due to the amount I'd already bought, but they do have candles, books and dash pencils, etc. I got a pencil but it wasn't until I got home that I discovered they had names on and I had Kim's. I love Kim but Khloe is definitely my favourite.

We had a quick look at the fire station that was featured in GhostBusters.

A little trip into Toys R Us and we were greeted with a full-sized Ferris wheel. An actual Ferris wheel in the store!!! Is this place real?

Day 5 is coming tomorrow. You can check out Check out Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, Day 5 and day 6 too.
