Book Review #7

This is about two friends who until now have lost touch. After they share their first kiss. Now Dorothy need's to land her dream job but doing so she'll have to pretend to be married or at least engaged to be married and that's where Mud comes in (his real name isn't Mud) her former best friend. Dorothy can only think of Mud helping her land her dream job and whilst he does agree. A whole lot of feelings come flooding back not just for Dorothy but for both of them. The classic can a woman and man ever be just friends sort of thing. I did enjoy this read but it didn't really stand out at me like other books do, it was good too see past friends coming together and having a romance but things always got in the way before they truly had a chance. Score 7/10.
Cassie has a good group of friends, but is far from happy with moving on with her life especially with the guy she wanted to share her life with is gone. Her best friend George died in a car crash and she's tried to contact him from beyond the grave but she's getting nothing. For most of her life Cassie was in love with George and him with her but they hid their true feelings in case they ruined their friendship. But it's too late to put any of that right now, they've argued then George died which leaves Cassie living with regret. And uncovering something huge. This was such a good read, it was about dealing with such a loss of someone who is the love of your life and also your best friend whilst doing something in his honor which ends up uncovering a huge, deep secret. George is in fact a twin. Through george' twin she'll get too George beyond the grave and share that kiss she's always wanted too, tell him she's sorry and how much she does and always will love him. It's so touching and beautiful to read I almost had tears in my eyes. Score 10/10.
This book was free but I have to say I would of bought it because it's that good. I didn't want it to end I had a second novel for this book whizzing around in my head. With romance, mystery and adventure this is one book that had me on the edge of my seat and one that I couldn't put down. I just wanted to read for the mystery to be solved but Barbara put loads of stuff in the way so it was hard to solve until you was near the end of the book which I loved. The three McKenna sisters had their 15 minutes of fame eight years ago when their father insisted they accompany him on a round the world boat race and they won. But that race would change their life's forever hidden out on the ocean are secrets and lies that they don't want exposed and one's they'd rather forget - if only they could. Now reporter Tyler has come on board the small island they live dishing for dirt on a so called article about where they are now but even that's a lie. He has questions and wants answers and he's going to get them one way or another. And this could end with the dirt being dug up on the secrets and lies that McKenna clan would rather forget. Highly recommend Score 10/10.
