RIMMEL SCANDALEYES

I recently got my hands on the Scandaleyes eye shadow paint from Rimmel. The shade is a lovely icy silver - Mercury Silver. I was happy to get my hands, on this shade -  Silver is right up my street. The wand is a typical lip gloss wand. I've never used a eye shadow paint before and to be honest was a little skeptical at first, but was quite surprised. The coverage was really good. The photo show's one layer - I'd advise two for a really good coverage. I think for one layer it looked fine it can just be better and more fantastic with two. It didn't crack either, and I was left with great coverage all day. The good news is, you can really create a great look with this eye paint - once it's dried. And not using another eye paint either. You can apply normal eye shadows normally on top of this for a smokey eye, etc. (See photo below) RRP £4.99

I also got my hand on the scandaleyes mascara in 001 Black. I was quite impressed with this mascara. It really complimented my eyes and the look I achieved with the eye paint. I didn't find my lashes, to be too clumped up however they are in a little area on my eye, but only ever so slightly. The rest are spread evenly. My eye lashes definitely have some added length. My only slight issue is, the mascara brush is quite bulky. It's great for my top lashes but I'm too scared to put it, anywhere near my bottom lashes - therefore it won't be going anywhere near them. I used my lash accelerator endless also from Rimmel for my bottom lashes. RRP £6.99

I have to say, I'm really impressed with the Scandaleyes collection (of what I've tried) and would love to try some more shades in the eye paints.

With Love

  2. It looks great on you, but I must admit that I find it a bit diffcult and messy to work with - perhaps for a nice Christmas party look :o). Xx
