Birchbox | May Edition - Free Your Mind

It's that time of month again when Birchbox makes it's way to all their subscribers homes. I, for one, look forward to the offerings of each and every box. It's always quite the treat. This month the theme is 'Free Your Mind' and the box is one you're able to colour in yourself, something that certainly frees your mind and can be quite therapeutic. I spent a good few hours colouring the above in, and watching Pretty Little Liars at the same time. It didn't exactly have me forgetting the fact I have a runny nose and can hardly breath, but it certainly helped.

Jelly Pong Pong | Caribbean Sun Bronzer Duo in Martinique - £15.95

I'm not 100% sure whether it's full-sized or not and the card doesn't let on that it is, however, it looks to be a similar size to the one on the Jelly Pong Pong website so it may well be. This is a perfect size for traveling and with a mirror built in it's practical too. Inside is a bronze and a blush, though the blush is on the shimmery side and maybe best used has an highlighter instead. I think the shades are gorgeous and very versatile - they'll make great eye shadows. I got the lightest shade but this is available in 2 other colours.

Caudalie | Vinoperfect Radiance Tinted Moisturiser - £27

This certainly isn't full-size but it's a generous size at 15ml. Caudalie are a brand I've not really used to much of, if at all, and one I'm glad to see inside this months box. Products like this I tend not to get on with and find the shade just makes me look like an orange, however, this shade is a near perfect match with my skin tone and hopefully I have the same result on my facial area.

Wah London | Nail Art Pen - £7

This month you were able to pick which sample you wanted, however, I never got any email telling me this which resulted in me getting this nail art pen. I don't mind getting an orange nail art pen because I don't own an orange one but I don't tend to do much nail art now a days and would definitely of preferred the other offering of a nail polish (you could also get press on nails too).

Number 4 | Lumiere d'hiver Reconstructing Masque - £36 Extra Beauty Bonus

This months beauty extra is an hair mask. This is made with loads of really beneficial ingredient that should have your hair feeling rather luxurious. This is to be used after the use of shampoo, evenly distributing the full amount on to wet hair, from tips to scalp. Leaving for 2 - 5 minutes. Depending on the length or thickness of your hair you could probably get two uses, for me, personally, I will probably get one use. Though my hair is quite thin it is rather long.

Whish | Three Whishes Body Butter in Almond - £14.50

This smells rather heavenly and will definitely be making it's way to my travel-use pile. It's a generous sample size at 22ml and perfect for popping into weekend bags or suitcases. I sampled some on my hand and my skin feels ever so soft. It's an organic body butter and comes with aloe, shea nutter and raspberry butter that battles dryness, boost firmness and fight against free radicals.

Parlor by Jeff Chastain | Moisturising Sea Salt Spray - £17 Birchbox Exclusive

I really like the Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray so I'm really looking forward to seeing how this sea salt spray compares. I find the Bumble & Bumble one to be quite drying on my hair, so I'll be happy to see how a moisturising one turns out. It's a pretty good size at 30ml and great for traveling purposes, therefore you can create that much desired wavy hair on holiday. The scent pretty much reminds me of Spring - just in a bottle.

There you have it, this months box. What are your thoughts? If you decide to sign up this month use my referral link. We will both then get £5 worth of points to use in the Birchbox e-shop.

    1. It's a great box. It's made me discover my love of colouring, again, and I'm definitely going to be purchasing a colouring book - for adults x

  4. I think this is a great box, although we did have a Whish Body Lotion last year - I wish they wouldn't reuse products so often xx

    1. I can see why that would be annoying. I unsubscribed for several months and must of just missed it! xx
