My Latest Collective 'Family' Haul

If you read all my posts you'll of seen a few of the pieces I bought in a previous haul. I actually went on to delete that post and go on another mini spree, so thought I'd put them together in one big post. As I explained in the last post, a whole lot of saving is going on now, with numerous birthdays, holidays booked and an unexpected, rather last minute trip to New York next month (which, I'm super excited about), so we've not really been spending much on ourselves. It was nice to finally purchase some bits and pieces.

It's not often I find much I like in my local Primark. It's often the case I'll walk away with nothing but socks, slipper socks or pajamas's, unfortunately, that was the case again at the Blackburn store. I was happy to find these star slipper socks, they are a bargain at £2.50 and super cosy. It was nice to walk away with something other than leopard print ones. I also picked up this candle which smells amazing. It's a sweet come fruity smell and is presented in a good quality glass jar. Hard to believe it was only £2.00, and the jar will come is use long after the candles burned.

I picked up this wooden plaque at Matalan. I love the shabby-chic look. They are very inexpensive and also so beautiful to look at. It's amazing how something so simple can have a quote added and be beautiful. I love the quote on this one, and it was only £3

Would I be me without picking up a book? I think not. I actually counted how many books I've to read on my book shelf and got to 31. That's my inner book hoarder inside me - I promise I do read them, eventually. I have about 10, if not more, on my kindle to read too. Anyways, I've read a previous book by Jane Costello but didn't think much of it, it didn't wow me, but I did want to give her another chance and picked up My Single Friend at The Works for just £1.99. We also picked up some cookies from Millies Cookies after our lunch at Ed's Diner (it was so good).

I also picked up these sunglasses from Primark for £3.

You may or may not be aware but Selfridges now stock Primark clothes. Basically, they pick and choose the best pieces from the collection and put them into their Selfridges stores. Honestly, when I went in to have a nosy it was like I wasn't looking at Primark clothes, the whole section looked much more expensive and they are certainly not pieces I saw in the Blackburn Primark. I spotted this top and fell in love, it's more of a going out top, though you could wear it more casually with jeans. It's like silky, shirt type material, quite sheer and comes with this beautiful necklace attached. On the back is a little button and a split that goes up the back, stopping just before midway. It's so pretty and only cost £10.

This was the Trafford Centre Selfridges.

I've bought a few bits and pieces from Cherry Diva. I saw this scarf and instantly fell in love. I just love the print and it's the perfect style for Spring/Summer and was only £4. The brand sell numerous jewellery, accessories and more at really great prices, the quality is fabulous and delivery starts at just 99p. This weekend they have a code for 20% off - Weekend20

How gorgeous are these shoes? These were also from the Primark range at Selfridges and cost only £6.

My inner child saw these and jumped around with glee. I do believe Harry Potter is for anyone of any age, but not many are to bothered about wearing anything clothing wise. I've seen this t-shirt on a couple of blogs and quickly snapped it up. I'll be adding this new addition to my pajamas or lounge wear - £6 from Primark. I saw these bottoms in my pajama isle and thought they matched with my new t-shirt (which is for casual wear) perfectly. I wasn't going to get them, but my boyfriend insisted I did. They are stretchy and so comfortable. so I'm not complaining, and the price wasn't bad at £8 either. Can we also take a moment to appreciate how hot Mathew Lewis (aka Neville Longbottom) is?

Kids basics were needed. My daughters vests were beginning to look like crop tops and my sons socks were getting a little holey. Vests - £3 a pack and Socks £2.50 a pack at Primark.

Whilst at Trafford we couldn't resist the sweet shop. I love a good sweet shop that sells traditional, retro sweets and one's from across the pond. I picked up these peanut butter M&Ms, Milk flavoured chews and a Laffy Taffy from Wonka.

Easter is coming up in 3 weeks, and of course we've been planning the occasion. We have a big family between me and my partner and the kids tend to get so much chocolate and sweets that we decided to buy them one Easter egg and a small gift. The kids, this year, chose their Easter eggs and we bought them each a small toy to surprise them with. Olaf (£5.95 at John Lewis) and Disney planes (£5.00 on offer - down from £12.50 - at Disney Store. They have different packs of 2) are loved by my daughter and son. The Easter eggs are less than £4 each at Asda. We get them an Easter card and make a gift bag for them.
