Makeup Revolution Iconic Elements Palette - Review

Today is my Birthday... I can hardly believe I'm 24 years old, a mere 6 years away from the big 30. I don't have many plans for Birthday celebrations, it being a week day and everyone being at work, but my Mum and Step-dad have invited me for Birthday tea and hopefully a piece of cake. I love to see Birthday Haul's or What I got for my Birthday posts so, of course, I'll do a big Birthday post early next week. Today, however, I bring you a new release from Makeup Revolution. The Iconic Elements palette's been out for around a week now and I've heard many, many good reviews. If you are after the Urban Decay Naked Basics and Naked Basics 2 palettes then this, I've heard, is a good dupe (of both) and at a fraction of the price at just £4 it's well worth picking up.

If you've read my blog for quite sometime you'll know I'm not the biggest fan of Matte's. Through Makeup Revolution I have grown to love some matte's, but I'm still not a big fan of the very lighter shades - I just find they do nothing for me and my pale skin tone. This palette is made up of 12 shades, 11 matte and 1 shimmer.

It's clear to see just how much these paler shades blend into my skin tone, I have a very English rose, pale complexion. These shade's will look amazing on tanned or darker skin tones, I only hope I'm able to show them off a little come Summer. I like to use the first two to highlight the brow area and the highlighter is a great addition to give the brow bone and corner of the eye a little glow.

After the first 4 shades are out the way the pigmentation improves so much. Each of the shades are very wearable and easy to work with, they also blend very well. This will be a dream palette for any Matte lover and a welcome addition to anyone's beauty stash. It's a steal at just £4 and with the additional use of a primer the shades will easily intensify.

    1. I'm a bigger fan of the right hand side of this palette. I'm more of a shimmer gal than a matte but it's pretty enough xx

    1. I think it's a winner for many skin tones, especially tan and darker skin tones. The shades compliment lighter skin tones too, but I think the paler shades are better for highlighting purposes x
