Racing Hearts - Movie Review

Racing Hearts is a film I've had my eye on for ages. I've been putting off buying it for a while now and decided to purchase it after seeing it on offer in Tesco. I'm a fan of Jamie Dornan after seeing him play Christian Grey in Fifty Shades of Grey and he's very easy on the eye too. I kind of had high expectations for Racing Heart, I'm a huge lover of romantic films and it looks just like that on the cover with not a bad write up on the back either. I chose not to read the reviews before hand and just go with it. After watching the film I can honestly say I wish I had read the reviews - it's certainly not a film I'll be picking up to watch again in a hurry. Racing Hearts? More like Racing Pigeon.

I loved that part of the film was based on something that happened in World War 1, that involved pigeons, and that there's an award in a museum somewhere in the world but this wasn't mentioned until nearing the end. The script is shockingly bad with not a lot happening. There's not very much talk, not a lot of romance and far to many pigeons to count. Though the acting was good enough, the lack of much going on made the film really boring and even had me falling asleep 25 minutes in, and for a film that's only 93 minutes long I don't think that's a good thing. It was really dreary, something I said about Magic Mike and even that was better then this. I'm a fan of Jamie and he was amazing in Fifty Shades but Racing Hearts just didn't cut it for me.
