Pro Impact Nails by Freedom Beauty

You've probably seen the buzz surrounding Freedom Makeup over the last few weeks, if not, I've spoken about them quite a bit recently so if you've not seen my previous posts you can do so here and here. I'm a huge fan of sister brand Makeup Revolution, so I was more than a little excited to hear the announcement of a new brand and with that comes a whole bunch of new and exciting products. It's clear to see that both brands have many similarities, but you can see the differences and one of those differences is the nail polish.

The Freedom nail collection comes with an impressive 40 shades so you'll be sure you find a shade(s) that suits you. Each bottle comes with 11ml of product and at £1 a pop they don't break the bank at all. If you've been a reader of my blog for the 3 years I've been here then you'll know my huge beauty weakness was nail polish, not so much anymore, but I am still a huge polish lover.

Apart from the few polishes I were sent when Makeup Revolution launched it's not a beauty product I've desired to repurchase. Don't get me wrong, I love Makeup Revolution and at £1 each they are such a steal, but I wasn't that impressed by the formula - a little streaky, quite thin. These, however, are quite the opposite: The formula seems different, not to thick or to thin and an opaque coverage is manageable in 2 to 3 coats (two needed 4 coats and this could be less depending on how thickly the coats are applied). The sleeker packaging makes them look much more expensive then they are and they definitely have a more professional look about them.

My only minor negative about these is the fact there all named by numbers and I love a good name, which is why, whilst these swatches were drying I decided to name them myself ha! So, if you're looking for someone to name your products Freedom Makeup you're looking right at her.

425 Sinners - A plum type red (4 coats). 422 Rosy Apple - Pink toned red (2 coats). 421 Make a Statement - Classic 50's red (2 coats). 423 Tutti Frutti - Coral (3 coats).

427 - Delicate Darkness (2 coats). 427 wasn't true to colour and is much darker than you expect it to be, especially in this photo where the light didn't want to catch it correctly. I'd definitely say it's almost going on black, but it's got a gorgeous shimmer to it. 424 - Gray Face (3 coats). 424 is a great dupe for one of the shades from the Fifty Shades inspired collection from OPI. I'm a huge lover of gray shades and this one is really nice. 426 - Lilac Dream (4 coats). I found 426 had the thinnest formula of all the polishes and was definitely the most watery and for this reason took quite a few layers to build up. 420 - Innocent (3 coats). A classic light gray and another dupe (I think) from the Fifty Shades OPI collection.

405 - Rose Golddess (3 coats). 405 is probably the most gorgeous polish I have ever bought. Nail polishes with a metallic type finish are definitely one of my favourites - add that with rose gold and it's a clear winner. It's another polish that was hard to capture, but if you check out my instagram (@ABritishSparkle) you'll see it's captured perfectly. I love it so much!

You can pick up the rest of the shades here.

  8. Fudging heck, for £1 they look like they're really good quality!! Those colours are lovely; the grey and the dark red shade are deffo my favourites....that reminds me, I need to paint my nails, painted them for the first time in about a year and they've chipped already...pretty sure that's the reason I stopped painting them to begin with but this post has made me want to now :-)

    1. I think it's one of the reasons I don't paint my nails as much. I want to get back into it because it helps me grow my nails. They look terrible at the moment. I keep chomping on them (bad habit) xx
