Wickedly Welsh Diabetic Chocolate - Review

Back in late October my step-dad was diagnosed with diabetes. Although it hasn't changed his life dramatically, it did mean his love of sweets, chocolate, and numerous doughnuts in one sitting did go out the window. Myself, and other family members didn't want to wave goodbye to his sweet tooth completely and went on the hunt to find something of a similar taste to cure his sweet cravings and also be good for him. Whilst hunting down some sweet indulgence on Twitter I heard from a company called Wickedly Welsh who specialise in chocolate for the diabetic and was instantly intrigued, especially when they offered to send us some free samples to try out - after all I'm from the Musgrove clan and that only means a family full of Chocoholics.

After having a look online and seeing the fancy looking chocolates I couldn't wait to see what would arrive in the post, and for me and my step-dad to have some chocolate indulgence. On opening the box we were met with a selection of chocolates and 4 different flavours and here is what we thought;

Orange and Contreau - We both agreed this particular chocolate was quite rich and very orange like. I'm a huge fan of anything chocolate orange and really liked this. My Step-dad said it was good.

Ginger Dark - I didn't find this to have much flavour ginger wise, although you could taste it ever so slightly. This is the one we both liked the least. My step-dad was also unable to taste any ginger and felt it needed more adding to the ingredient.

Christmas Pudding - I can't stand Christmas pudding so I was a little unsure what to expect from this one, but I was quite surprised. This actually tastes like Christmas Pudding and one I thoroughly enjoyed. Me and my step-dad decided this was really good and our ultimate favourite.

Minty Praline - This in my eyes tastes and looks like a fancy after eight. We both really enjoyed it and agreed it came close to our Christmas pudding winner.

We both really liked the great taste that Wickedly Welsh offers and were seriously impressed with the prices too. We can't wait to indulge in more Wickedly Welsh in the near future.
