TAG: The Book Lovers' Survey

I'm such a huge book worm so when I saw The Book Lovers tag on Lola and Behold I just knew I had to take part.

Do you remember how you developed a love for reading? I think my love of reading developed in year 6 when Harry Potter was everywhere. It was the book we read as a class, the inspiration behind the slippers I made in tech and the film I saw on my first trip to the cinema.

Where do you usually read? I read everywhere, on the sofa, in my bed, in the bath, in the car. Absolutely anywhere.

Do you prefer to read one book at a time or several at once? I definitely read just the one. I don't get any enjoyment from reading several at once. I'd probably forget what the other was about or where it was going.

What is your favourite genre? I'm a complete fantasy, sci-fi addict. I just believe with every other genre it's almost like real life, but with fantasy and sci-fi it's a completely new world, it doesn't exist and that's what thrills me and makes me read on. It's like stepping into a world of unknown and you don't ever know what will happen next or where the book will take you, what other undiscovered thing will pass by. Saying that I'm also a sucker for a love story and anything romantic.

Which genre will you not read? I don't think there's anything I will not try. Sci-fi is very much like fantasy.

Do you have a favourite book? I don't have a favourite book, I enjoying reading so many. Fifty Shades, every Katie Price novel, Divergent series by Veronica Roth, Fallen series, Teardrop Series both by Lauren Kate, The Mortal Instrument By Cassandra Clare.

What is the worst book you've ever read? Not so much pretty awful but everyone has their own tastes and there's been a few that I just can't get into myself. One in particular that I've read a few chapters of and really struggling to read anymore, I feel I've moved on in reading style and it's definitely something I would of read has a teen. I will eventually finish it, but it's not on my list of things to do right now!

What is the biggest book you've ever read? I don't think there's anything that I've read that's relatively bigger or considerably longer to any other book in my collection. I have book 6 in The Mortal Instrument series and I'm yet to read it, but that is like two books put together and shall be the biggest book I've read, once I have.

What was the last book you bought? I have bought so many books lately, I went a bit mad in Tesco and then ordered two books by Lindsey Kelk from Asda Online. I'm yet to read any of them. I also downloaded loads of freebies to my kindle.

Which do you prefer? Library books or buying books? I haven't set foot in a library since primary school. I kinda like the idea of having my own little library at home and on my kindle. I don't always have time to read on a weekly basis, like the good old days, so it's nice to know I can finish a book when I please without having the added pressure of returning a book I'm half way through.

What are you reading now? I'm currently reading A Gift To Remember by Melissa Hill. Once this goes live I maybe on to something entirely different!

What are the disadvantages of being a book-lover? There is no disadvantage, I love reading.

Have you done the book lovers tag? Send me your links I'd love to read them.
