Christmas Beauty Avent Calendar Opening - Day 1-5

If you follow me on Instagram you'll of already seen a sneak peak of days 1-5, but I also know many of you don't follow me over there so I thought I'd write a post giving you a glipse of the offerings in the beauty advents I decided to pick up this year. Last year I got the 12 days of feelunqiue and although it was an exceptional calendar at an exceptional price I decided to switch it up this year and go for something slightly different. It seems like every beauty brand out there are offering some sort of beauty advent now a days and each year it gets bigger, better and even more pricier, so I decided to show two beauty advent offerings that are more suited to those wanting something on a slightly lower budget or for those, like myself, who feel guilty for getting an expensive one when you could buy someone an extra special gift. I got my hands on the Bomb Cosmetics and Tanya Burr beauty advents, plus a mars chocolate one - What's a Christmas countdown without a small chocolate to eat each day?

I'm going to go straight in with what was behind each door, but I thought I'd quickly add that the Tanya Burr Cosmetics beauty advent is actually 12 days of Christmas, therefore I decided to open it every other day on the countdown to Christmas. Both of the advents are still available to buy online, so prices and links will be available at the bottom of this post.

Day 1 - Bomb Cosmetics Santa Baby Soap and a Tanya Burr Cosmetics lipgloss in Candy Cane.

Day 2 - Bomb Cosmetics Strawberry Fields Soap.

Day 3 - Bomb Cosmetics Pineapple Expressed Blaster and a Tanya Burr Cosmetics Nail File.

Day 4 - Bomb Cosmetics Fresh Berry Blaster.

Day 5 - Bomb Cosmetics Butter Berry Blaster and a Tanya Burr Cosmetics compact Mirror.

There you have it, my beauty advent of 1 - 5. I'm going to be doing this type of post every 5 days along side my regular posts throughout December, so if it's something you're interested in then please come back on the 10th, 15th and 20th. The last one will be up between the 24th - 26th.

With these particular advent I feel you're getting what you've paid in terms of what's inside. Bomb Cosmetics give a sample of some of there full-size products and I think this type of calendar is a great chance to try out some of the offerings avaible before commiting to the full-size. I've tried Bomb Cosmetics before and the brand are very similar to Lush, although not quite as spectacular, they do what it says on the label. They've got a couple of products that Lush don't sell and are cheaper too. You can get this calendar on Ebay for £13.95 including postage.

Being the blogger that I am Tanya Burr is someone I have heard of and although I do watch her video's on Youtube I've never actually tried her makeup, Tanya Burr Cosmetics. This particular beauty advent calendar tends to retail around £25 in most places, but if you're extra lucky you may still be able to find it in your local Superdrug for just over half the price - unfortunately it is out of stock on Superdrug online. Again, this is a great way to try out the brand and although I've only really tried the lipgloss from the range I'm really liking it so far. Feelunique - £25.
