Pregnancy Update... & Gender Reveal

Wow, what a whirlwind. It doesn't feel like two minutes since I did my surprise announcement post and here I am with a gender reveal one. This pregnancy has flown by, it's surreal how quickly time has passed and here I am, over halfway and my baby officially has an identity.

This pregnancy hasn't been a breeze, although probably a breeze compared to many. I've not been sick any more than 10 times, but I've lacked in motivation, energy and felt ill and well and truly worn out by it all. I feel the normal jobs that could be completed in a day take me a few days to a week to sort out and running round after two, rather boisterous children during the holidays and out of school really takes it out of me. Family life can be somewhat hectic and adding a pregnant woman to the mix makes it all sorts of crazy. I'm in my second trimester now and knowing I'm a little over half way is a mixed feeling of scariness and excitement.

My second pregnancy ended with a beautiful princess who was low in weight and for this reason, my third pregnancy is being kept an eye on and I've now got 3 growth scans booked for my third and final trimester. It's nothing to worry about too much at the moment, but this could be down to the umbilical code not providing the nutrients the baby needed to grow properly. It wasn't picked up on my second pregnancy, but it's likely everything was alright and she was just a teeny tot. On my 20 week scan, we found the baby was healthy, measurements were fine and there's a good amount of fluid around baby unfortunately, my umbilical code is too low and therefore, towards the end of this pregnancy I will need an internal scan to see if it's moved to the top so baby can be delivered naturally and safely.

I'm happy to announce that we're expecting a baby GIRL!!! We're absolutely thrilled and can now start shopping and bringing you some baby related hauls. I'm so happy to be able to bring some baby related, parenting and adult type reads to the blog in the near future... I hope you enjoy the new content.

An extra update... Not pregnancy related at all, but I've passed my theory. Yipee!! More time for blogging now.
