My Summer | Lifestyle

 Hello, beautiful people...

It seems the Summers just flown by. There's not been much chance of hitting the beaches, wearing summer dresses and lighting up our barbecues this year. It's been typical, British, Summer time. I actually have no doubt that our Autumn will be filled with hot days that have us wearing shorts and sandals rather than wellies, scarfs and hats. I am, however, looking forward to enjoying hot chocolates, cosy nights in, and movie after movie with a really good book on the side.

I thought I'd do a little bit of a different post today. Now the Summer is coming to an end I thought It would be nice to reflect on what's gone on and what I've been up to.

Catch up's - I've actually had quite a jam packed Summer and between having families of our own and jobs we just aren't able to see each other as much as we'd like. Just before the Summer I happened to bump into someone I haven't seen for 16 whole years and we got speaking and have spoken everyday since. Back then we were primary school children and despite his best efforts I would never give him the time of day (I was a shy kid). It's been nice reconnecting and seeing we have a lot in common. I think we'll remain very good friends for the rest of our life's.

Our house is full of Summer babies. Out of the 4 of us 3 have birthday's within the space of a month so we've had the pleasure of indulging in a couple of birthday cakes. It's been lovely celebrating in so many fun ways and spoiling the children and my boyfriend.

We've enjoyed quite a few days out and the weathers been on our side each time - even when we planned in advance. Out of the picks my favourite is definitely Drayton Manor. We went here to celebrate my son's birthday and it was a really great day overall, and weather wise. We've also been to many other great places; Llandudno, The World of Beatrix Potter, Lake Windermere (a few times) and the great outdoors; numerous walks, trips to the park, boat rides and indoor play area's. It's been great, plus the kids haven't been bored.

It's been almost 2 weeks since we got back from Turkey and it's gone unbelievably fast. We had such a great time enjoying sun, sea and sand, and just being able to relax in general. Altinkum is a beautiful and quiet town.

So, there you have it, my Summer. It's gone super fast and come Monday life will return to normal and the kids will be returning back to school and nursery. I hope you've had an amazing Summer too. In having such a jam packed few month I've not been giving my blog much love or attention, now the holidays are over I'm hoping I can get back into the swing of things and deliver at least 10+ blog posts a month. I also really want to get back into my reading and complete all the books that sit there new and abandoned on my bookshelf. It's a poor do when you have only completed Grey and still only half way through The Maze Runner which was started in the Spring. Opps!

Leave some of your Summer highlights in the comment section below. And, I hope you're having a great weekend x
