Birchbox March 2015 | with Habitat

This month Birchbox have collaborated with Habitat to bring us this beautiful multicoloured box, one I'm sure you will all agree is a keeper. I truly believe the box has been hit and miss from what I've seen and people believe this box is a let down compared to previous boxes. I can see where they are coming from in some aspects, this months box isn't the best Birchbox have previously offered, but it's certainly not the worst either. There's only one product, I'm personally, unhappy with.

Catherine Malandrino Style de Paris | £50 - This month we got a perfume sample. This is something a lot of people are never thrilled to see, though you can pick up a sample for free at most perfume counters, getting this in my beauty box doesn't bother me to much. I like perfume samples, they are great for collecting and putting away for holiday's or small getaways rather than taking a large bottle of perfume. Style de Paris is a gorgeous scent, with citrus top notes and a fruity twist. I think I've owned something very similar to this before but can't quite think what.

Benefit Badgal Lash Mascara | £17.50 - This month they were 3 mascara's you could choose from; The Roller Lash, They're Real! and this one, the Badgal Lash mascara. Since Birchbox is all about trying new beauty products I decided to choose Badgal Lash (the only mascara from the Benefit range I've never tried), though I kind of wish I'd of got Roller Lash because I love that mascara right now! This is a deluxe sample and worth £8.23

Ren Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask | £32.00 for 50ml - I really enjoy using face masks, so was happy to see this in my box. It's only 10ml so I'm unsure just how much use I'll get out of it, hopefully a few. This is suppose to improve skin tone and radiance and reduce the appearance of fine lines. This is worth £6.40

TanOrganic Self Tanning Oil | £24.99 - This is the worlds first tanning oil, which, will leave your skin with a natural-looking glow. Sounds kind of impressive, but I don't tan, so this is the product I'm least happy to have received. I would rather have had the other offering of dead sea bath salts. This is only a 25ml sample, for those who do tan, I hope a little goes a long way on this particular product.

Philip Kingsley Elasticizer | £27.50 for 150ml - This is a pre-shampoo that restores the hair and gives a bounce. It will deliver moisture to the hair cuticles whilst restoring elasticity. I'm really looking forward to giving this ago, it's 20ml and should give me a good few uses. Plus, it made Bazaar Beauty Hot 100 too. This is worth £3.60

This months lifestyle extra's are an exclusive Habitat note pad and the first chapter of Penny Vincenzi A Perfect Heritage novel. The habitat is a small but cute notepad, the perfect size to fit in your handbag and jot little notes down. A Perfect Heritage sounds like a lovely novel. One that explores both loss and love. Heat magazine says it's 'An epic, totally compelling story'. I love a good book, so this maybe worth a purchase once I've given the first chapter a go. The full book is £7.99

So, there you go, not a bad box but certainly not the best. The collaboration with Habitat consists of a fancy box, a note pad and 20% discount code. I, personally, love the lifestyle extras, making notes and books are certainly my thing. The sample sizes - minus the tanning oil - are perfect for my last minute trip to NYC next month. The best product is certainly the Benefit mascara. If you want to sign up to Birchbox then feel free to use my referral link here. Using my referral means me, and yourself, will get £5 worth of points to spend in the Birchbox e-shop. 1. I think you did well to get the REN mask as it's amazing, and if I had gotten a REN product, I think I would have been happier :) xx
